RemotePLE requires an FTP connection to the server and, optionally, access to the RadioBOSS API.

FTP / SFTP connection:
Open the settings with F10. In the 'Common' tab, enter the FTP host, port, user name and password.
Select the connection mode: active, passive, automatic, SFTP or Local.
For FTPS (encrypted), activate the 'FTPS Connection' checkbox.
The 'FTP root directory' and 'File root directory' define the path mapping between
the FTP server and the local file system (used for the Cue Point Editor).
The 'FTP initial directory' sets the directory shown when first opening the FTP tab.

Local mode:
Select 'Local' to access a local or network drive without an FTP server. Files are read and written directly from the drive - useful when RemotePLE runs on the same machine as RadioBOSS or the audio folder is mapped as a network drive. In this mode the top field (now labelled 'Local directory') holds the local root path of the accessing machine, e.g. 'E:\' or 'N:\audio\'; port, user, password and FTPS are not needed. The 'File root directory' still refers to the path on the RadioBOSS machine - both must point to the physically same files (only the drive letter may differ).

RadioBOSS API:
In the 'Common' tab, enter the RadioBOSS API address, user name and password.
The API is required for the On-Air display, playlist commands and direct command execution.
Without API access, the On-Air area remains hidden.

Testing the connection:
Save the settings and check whether the FTP directory is listed and the On-Air display appears.
